Hey all,
Been a while! Some of you know dbmasters, creator of HRC. Sadly db passed away a few days ago.
I had the pleasure of meeting db in person in 2019. He was an awesome guy, big spirit. It was cool to put a face to someone who had mentored me online for years when I was starting out in sound and recording.
My favourite trait of db was how stoked he was to chat sound / gear / bass / music, any time any day. He loved this place. It was a cool vibe back in the day.
If you've got a story about db, please share it below. His family are also looking for photos for his service, so please get in touch if you have any.
db, your legacy lives on in those of us who you've taught and mentored, and in this incredible archive of information. Hope you're still rocking up there!

Jul 17, 2023 12:15 am Damn, I'm a year late. Rest in peace db. I also had the pleasure of meeting db in person one time, probably in like 2005/2006 or so (along with Noize2U). I learned a ton from this forum, and the many people who used to frequent it back in the day. I'll forever be thankful for this community that db fostered.
So sad to hear. But thank you for sharing the news.

Apr 12, 2024 09:39 am Hey all, I'm very sorry to be reading this. Obviously, I'm late to the party, but I owe a lot of my mixing skills to dbmasters. I'm guessing that it must be almost 20 years ago when I first met db.
Honestly, I'm still in shock. He left us too soon.
RIP db, you were one of the good ones and will be missed.
